My wife and I ate at Mr. Shmokey, and it did not disappoint. She ordered the brisket plate with fries and the smokey beans. She also had a pinacolada, which she said was great. I ordered the smokey chicken, mac and cheese, and cucumber and onion salad. Everything was go good. The BBq sauce on my chicken had a little kick to it so I'm glad we opted to eat inside in the AC. great food.
Amazing food and a smoked burger to die for. Prices are very very honest for the location and the stuff is excellent sort of lovely and friendly people. Will definitely come back.
My wife and I travel all over the world and we center a lot of what we do around great food. We have been to James Beard & Michelin-Star restaurants, but when we can find great hole-in-the-wall local places we always gravitate toward these establishments. I want to start by explaining we are from Kansas City, Missouri. If you don't know KC is the BBQ capital of the world. True statement, we invented BBQ and we have the world's only BBQ museum. I start by saying this because we know our BBQ. Mr. Shmokey is a true contender in our eyes. Not everything is perfect, but nowhere is that the case. What they do get right is almost near perfection. The pit masters make the food as it's ordered so your sides are not sitting under a huge heat lamp. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but in Mexico what's the point of A/C when you walk to have dinner and you're already all hot lol? We sat outside and tried several items on the menu. The staff was helpful and very nice. The food was fantastic and we would absolutely be back.
From burgers to mac n cheese, pastrami to truffle fries, sloppy joes to brisket.. Mr. Shmokey has it all !! We had the most incredible meal, and trust us, once you try this place, you’ll be going back for more ! The Smoked Hamburger was AMAZING, & we even had extra pastrami, recommended by Mr.Shmokey himselfThis with the Mac & Cheese was a dreamy combo !! Wow.. the Brisket Sandwich is the sandwich of champions !! This with the Smoked Beans is a top quality meal, all the smokey flavours !! Not only is the food amazing but the drinks to ! Mr. Shmokey has everything from coffees to cocktails.. and they are GOOD ‘The Orange’ is a must if you are an Aperol lover, and the Irish coffee is incredible !!
Came back twice! Amazing coffee!!!!!! We got the hazelnut and the spicy cold coffees. Yummy chilaquiles! Amazing brisket!!
Their burgers are so good! They have increased the prices through Been to both locations in tulum, they have 3 parking spots by their hotel zone location however the other shop is next to convenience store and right at the intersection.
5 Stars If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Mr. Shmokey Smokehouse is hands down the BEST spot in town — best fries, best drinks, best everything! But let me tell you… their BREAKFAST is next-level. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and made with love. You can taste the care in every bite. The fries are crispy perfection, the drinks are refreshing and strong, and the entire vibe of the place just makes you want to keep coming back. Friendly staff, quick service, and food that hits every single time. Mr. Shmokey’s is a whole experience — don’t walk, RUN there. You won’t regret it!
My son and I loved this place. There was a fun vibe, good food and great service. If you are pickle lovers try their homemade pickles. They were awesome. I had the brisket sandwich and my son had the pastrami sandwich. Both of them were tender and flavorful.
